Nabi Aaron visitor center
2009 - Sinai, Egypt
This project was a wonderful journy to design a multilayered spiral spatial complex that blends horizontally with its semi-opened space, and vertically, with its layered light structure. The bedouin owner wanted to design a meditation and visitor center, near the area of Nabi Aaron tomb. Based on a spiral circulation that engulves, water well at its center, the space opens up from its center, to its open, yet enclosed valley, in a multilayered spaces that end with light structures, that evaporates, as it opens up to the rigid, yet familiar mountains.
